Early Career
Starting as a porter at a new car dealership, Ray quickly advanced to become a parts counterman and later assistant parts manager at a high-volume Cadillac dealership, where he managed their B2B wholesale operations.
Collision Repair Management
At age 28, Ray transitioned into collision repair management, taking on increasing responsibilities:
- Led a major facility expansion from 2,000 to 10,000 square feet
- Developed comprehensive service integration across dealership departments
- Built and managed relationships with dealer customers, fleet accounts, and internal departments
- Orchestrated successful coordination between parts, service, and sales operations
Industry Leadership
Ray's commitment to industry advancement led to several key positions:
- District Chair for the West Michigan I-CAR Committee
- Multiple leadership roles in the West Michigan Bodyshop Association (WMBA), including Vice President, President, and Chairman
